PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's a busy time, but you can find a few minutes to get tax information organized and that can help in April, according to Rosalind Sutch, a CPA with Drucker and Scaccetti in Philadelphia.
"Starting to pull their information so they can get their tax information to advisors as early as possible in the filing season certainly would save everybody a lot of hassle. They could start going through documents and maybe making one big folder and throwing everything in there so it's all in one place and easy to deal with."
If you get a year end bonus, consider adding it to your retirement account. Also, this is a good time to make a charitable donation, it helps the charity and your taxes.
