Suspects Break Into Del. Apartment, Assault Disabled Woman And Daughter

DOVER, Del. (CBS) – Two men have been arrested for allegedly breaking into a Dover apartment and assaulting a disabled woman and her daughter.

Police say the incident happened on Thursday, Sept. 18 around 3:10 a.m.

The two suspects reportedly kicked open the door leading to the victims' apartment before assaulting the 61-year-old disabled woman and her daughter.

Both victims were injured during the assault.

Police say the suspects, 25-year-old Michael Carrington-Barlow and 22-year-old Shawn Horsey, fled but were arrested a short distance from the scene.

Both are facing multiple charges including burglary and assault.
