Suspected Camden Drug Dealer Tries To Avoid Arrest By Jumping From Second-floor Window
CAMDEN, NJ (CBS) – Police in Camden County say a suspected drug dealer jumped out a second-floor window in an attempt to avoid arrest.
On Wednesday, Feb. 12 around 6 p.m., Camden County Police on patrol in North Camden spotted Muneer Abdur-Ahman, 29, engage in a drug transaction outside of a home on 722 Vine Street.
The officers approached Abdur-Ahman and ordered him to stop, but the suspect ignored their commands and ran into the home.
Police chased the suspect upstairs, and he then jumped from the second-floor window to the ground. Abdur-Ahman continued to flee through several backyards before police and K-9 Achilles tracked him to a nearby yard, where he was hiding.
Abdur-Ahman and another resident of the home, 24-year-old Jessica Saxton, were found to be in possession of 36 bags of crack cocaine, nine bags of heroin and $755 in cash.
Abdur-Ahman and Saxton were each charged with two counts of Possession of a CDS (crack cocaine and heroin), Possession With Intent to Distribute and Possession With Intent to Distribute Within 1,000 feet of a School. Abdur-Ahman was also charged with one count of Resisting Arrest.
