Strong To Severe Storms This Evening

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 9 p.m. for the region, as a strong cold front will bring scattered showers and storms, especially though the evening hours. Any of the storms could produce wind gusts to 60 mph along with heavy rain and frequent lightning.
Some flash flooding is also possible in any slow moving storms. A flash flood warning is in effect until 7:45 p.m. for parts of Chester County.
Quieter conditions will return later tonight and overnight as the cold front passes through. Cooler and less humid conditions will return for the rest of the weekend into next week.
