Special guest eater Mick Foley, one of the WWE's biggest superstars will appear at Wing Bowl 23. Mick Foley earned the nickname 'The Hardcore Legend' for some of the most dramatic matches in sports-entertainment history. As Mankind, Foley was a 3-time WWE Champion, but is best known for his epic and brutal battle with The Undertaker in 1998's 'Hell in a Cell' match, during which he was knocked unconscious after falls both off of and through the 16 foot Cell structure. With retirement looming as a result of that physically demanding style, Foley penned his own memoir, 'Have a Nice Day', hitting number one on The New York Times best-seller list in October, 1999. Since then, Foley has published a total of ten books; four memoirs, four children's books and two novels. Foley's acting credentials include '30 Rock', 'Warren the Ape', Now and Again', 'G vs E' and 'Boy Meets World' and he was featured in the critically acclaimed documentary 'Beyond the Mat'. He's a movie producer as well, with his documentary "I Am Santa Claus," released in 2014 through Morgan Spurlock's production company. With his New York Times best sellers and successful speeches at several universities, Foley decided to take his skills to the stand-up comedy stage in 2009 and was recently inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Also scheduled to appear is Natalie Didonato of VH1's 'Mob Wives'.

A highlight of Wing Bowl 23 will be the National Anthem sung by National Recording Artist and Retired Navy Petty Officer First Class, Generald Wilson. Wilson most recently sang "God Bless America" for Game 1 of the 2014 World Series in Kansas City, Mo. He sang the anthem on Monday Night Football for the Philadelphia Eagles this past season.

WIP Morning Show host Angelo Cataldi, who co-founded Wing Bowl 23 years ago with radio partner Al Morganti said, "Wing Bowl has always tried to reflect the psyche of the Philadelphia sports fan, and our 23rd edition will do so with even more spirit than usual. Wrestling hero Mick Foley will inspire the crowd, anthem singer Generald Wilson will raise the roof, housewife Molly Schuyler will try to beat men three times her size again and N.J. Gov. Chris Christie's love for the Dallas Cowboys will get some very special attention. Add 100 of the sexiest women in the Delaware Valley, a Mob Wife, sports legends, and the usual pomp and pageantry of our annual celebration, and you've got a Wing Bowl that will take its place among our most memorable."

The fun will continue throughout the day at WIP's Official Wing Bowl 23 After-Party.  Michael Barkann and Ike Reese will broadcast live from SugarHouse Casino, 1001 North Delaware Avenue from 10a.m.-1p.m..  Mick Foley and former Flyer Bernie Parent will appear.  Great prizes will be given away throughout the show.

A portion of the proceeds from WIP's Wing Bowl 23 will benefit the Philadelphia Police Department Survivor's Fund, The Police Athletic League and other beneficiaries.

Many of the contestants in Wing Bowl 23 were selected  based on their ability to complete challenging eating stunts featured during the SportsRadio 94WIP Morning Show, heard weekdays from 5:30a.m.-10:00a.m., or at on-site "Wing-Offs" held throughout Philadelphia.
