Special Fathers Day At The Ballpark For Phillies Fans
By Mike Dougherty
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Dads from the Delaware Valley and beyond came to celebrate Father's Day at Citizens Bank Park.
Baseball is a big part of life for Bart and his son Graham, even when the Phillies stink.
"It's time that we can spend together and it's something we both enjoy." said Bart. "I'm a coach on his team, so I get to spend extra time with him, teaching him."
And what does love Graham love about his dad, other than baseball?
"Just the person he is," said Graham. "How he's really nice and caring and compassionate."
Joe Dean from Levittown is celebrating his first Father's day as a dad with his four-month old son.
"It's amazing." said Dean. "We watch the Phillies all the time at home, so it's great to get here and see one together for the first time."
The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree for Lee and Terry Scholl.
"We pretty much both have the same likes. Like sports." said Terry. "We do a lot of that together. We go to Reading Phillies, we come down here a few times a year."
"That's what it's all about." said Lee. "Just a great day, ballgame with your son. What more could you ask for?"
Keith Hoffman and his daughter Hannah came to make some new memories.
"He brought me to my first Phillies game, so I figured it would be a fun activity to do today." said Hannah.
"I enjoy it. When she told me she got Phillies tickets, I was really thrilled." said Keith. "I like coming out and just walking around the ballpark. With her here, it's even more special."
