Social Media Today: Klout Aquired, Twitter Teams Up, LinkedIn Scores

Klout Joins Lithium
It's official... Klout has confirmed it's been acquired by the social marketing company Lithium Technologies.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it was previously reported to cost around $200 million. In a blog post, Klout co-founder Joe Fernandez said Lithium was the right partner for its influence-focused platform.

Twitter Partners With Billboard
Twitter is teaming up with billboard to launch a new chart that will rank which music is being shared and tweeted about the most in real-time. It will be called the 'billboard twitter real-time charts' and will be available on billboard.com.

New LinkedIn Tools
LinkedIn has launched insight tools to help brands become better publishers. The platform will start assigning brands content-marketing scores to gauge the effectiveness of their posts and provide a list of topics that are popular with their target audience.
