Shower And Storm Chances Return This Week

By Justin Drabick

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- After a cooler than average start to the week, high temperatures return back to average to slightly above average with highs in the mid 70s. Our dry stretch of weather will come to an end tomorrow as a warm front approaches. Clouds will continue to increase tonight ahead of the front. Low temperatures will be milder in the upper 50s, as the warmer air mass continues to move in.

The warm front will start to move through the Delaware Valley on Wednesday bringing some showers and possible thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and evening. Highs on Thursday will remain at or above average in the mid to upper 70s. The threat for some showers will continue on Thursday as a cold front approaches late in the day. Highs will still remain near average in the mid to upper 70s.

Behind the front, a cooler air mass will build in on Friday into the start of the holiday weekend. There will be a chance for an isolated shower both Friday and Saturday with highs in the lower 70s. The second half of Memorial Day weekend will be warmer and dry with highs mid to upper 70s on Sunday and near 80 on Memorial Day.
