Report: Josh Gordon Fails Drug Test, Faces Year-Long Ban
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon has failed another drug test and is facing a one-year suspension from the NFL.
Gordon was suspended for the first ten games of the 2014 season for a repeat violation of the NFL's drug policy. A change in the policy kept Gordon from missing the entire 2014 season. In five games, the talented wide receiver caught 24 passes for 303 yards.
In 2013, Gordon led the NFL with 1,646 receiving yards.
At 23, Gordon has experienced his share of issues that have derailed his football career. During college, Gordon was dismissed from Baylor for a failed drug test.
