The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday at 10th and Diamond Streets, outside The Hubble Bubble Hookah Lounge. That is right by Edberg-Olson Football Complex, Temple University's football complex.

Police say a security guard was escorting a man out of the business when he turned and pulled out a gun. That's when police say the guard shot the man.

The man then fired shots, striking three women. Police say the individuals were coming out from the hookah bar.

A 20-year-old woman was shot in the right arm once, a 19-year-old woman was shot in the left leg once and a 47-year-old woman was shot in the right arm once. They are all in stable condition.

The 23-year-old man, however, was shot in the left side and is in critical condition, police say. He was later taken into custody as a person of interest.

Temple issued a TU Alert in response to the shooting.

Police say they recovered one firearm.

The shooting remains under investigation.
