Poem: 'Sam I Am'
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- No better way to get you fired up for tonight's NBA draft than a Sam Hinkie poem. Without further a do, it's 'Sam I Am.'
I will believe in Sam I am
Build a winner I think he can
He will not talk before the draft
He will not frown he will not laugh
He will not do an interview
He will not talk to me or you
But I believe in Sam I am
I am still a Hinkie fan
He will check the numbers once or twice
He will look them over once more for thrice
He'll watch the tape once and again
He'll watch that tape that Sam I am
We all believe in Sam I am
I'll believe when I eat Raisin Bran
I'll believe with eggs and toast
I'll believe when I eat pot roast
I'll believe eating ice cream
I'll believe he'll build this team
Still no words, none red, none blue
No time, just watching tape of a wing named Andrew
Looking at X-Rays of Joel
Watching Parker get fat as hell
He's our man, that Sam I am
He'll get us a parade, I believe he can
