Philly Police To "Broke" Kanye West: We're Hiring!
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Kanye West a Philadelphia police officer?
Well, no, it's just his face photoshopped onto a police recruiting poster - along with West's nickname for a name tag - the cyber handiwork of Sgt. Eric Gripp who's working hard to recruit more Philadelphia officers.
"Were just having a little fun and hopefully getting some good cops along the way," Sgt. Gripp told CBS 3.
Gripp says he got the idea after West began tweeting about his financial issues, being $53 million dollars in the hole.
I write this to you my brothers while still 53 million dollars in personal debt... Please pray we overcome... This is my true heart...

"I'm hoping he responds," Gripp added.
So far, the Kanye tweet in just over 8 hours has gotten a million views. Gripp hoping the twitterstorm of publicity surrounding a star short on money, will help a city short on cops hire more officers.
"That's what it's all about," Gripp concluded, "getting the message out there."
