Where to get Philadelphia Phillies playoff shirts, gear after team clinches wild card
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Fans are buying up Phillies playoff shirts, hats and other gear after the team clinched a National League wild card spot Tuesday night.
The Phillies put the National League on notice they are ready for another run at the World Series after a 10-inning, 3-2 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday night.
The Phillies also clinched the top wild card seed and will host all games in the second year of the NL Wild Card series. Game 1 is Tuesday at Citizens Bank Park.
Monday night, it was nothing but a party in the Phillies locker room as the players sang Calum Scott's "Dancing on My Own."
Take a look at the new merchandise that just rolled out, all of these are available starting Tuesday.
Director of Retail Marketing Kristin Zeller gave our crews a tour around the New Era Team Store, showing off the store's latest selection.
"The snapback is available," Zeller said. "Everybody will recognize this as the celebration hat, last night that the players got. Once we clinched our postseason berth."
The line was out the door at the team store at Citizens Bank Park with people trying to get their hands on them. Margie Weidenmiller knew exactly what she wanted as soon as the team's locker room celebrations commenced.
"The t-shirt they had on last night, the locker room shirt," she said. "I love Red October."
"I'm getting a flag for my front lawn," Amanda Revelle said while she showed off her new purchase.
"We also have this really cool novelty, Red October baseball postseason 2023 for fans, for a great novelty item," Zeller said.
She also showed our crews the iconic custom ballpark overalls with the Phanatic logo.
Carlos Astaico bought something more weather appropriate for Wednesday night's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
"I got a little hoodie, you know what I mean, for the game tonight. We're coming down here, me and the wifey, and we're gonna try to enjoy ourselves tonight," he said.
William McKinley was ecstatic when he found his new hidden gem.
"I eyed this jacket up in June. And I noticed the last night game it started getting cold, and I said 'I hope the jacket is still there.' And it was there so I came here today to pick it up," he said.
This is not all of the merch. Later this week there will be sweatshirts, women's T-shirts and some magnets. The Phillies have also released more information on how to get tickets to potential upcoming playoff games.
