Philadelphia's Best Zombies Audition At Eastern State Penitentiary

By Justin Udo

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- People from all over the Delaware Valley flocked to Eastern State Penitentiary Tuesday night for the chance to become a zombie.

Competition was stiff for the actors auditioning to be one of just 200 zombies who will scare visitors as they make their way through the halls of the haunted attraction, 'Terror Behind the Walls' at Eastern State Penitentiary.

Organizers of the audition say they are looking for people to bring the role to life.

"We want to make sure people have energy, enthusiasm, they can make scary faces."

Aaron Lofton said he has just what is takes to be a zombie.

"I can make weird noises with my mouth," Zombie hopeful Lofton said. "I have some pretty crazy physical characteristics that I can do like physical movements that are really strange and can freak people out if they saw it in the dark coming at them."
Officials at Eastern State are also looking for people to work customer service and retail positions.
