Beautiful conditions with crisp, colder temperatures in Philadelphia. Here's the full forecast.

Coldest day of the week in Philadelphia area before temperatures spike on Election Day

Sunday is great football weather for the Philadelphia area with beautiful conditions and crisp fall temperatures. You'll want to have a sturdy jacket on when you venture out or if you plan on tailgating because Sunday will feel cooler with temperatures sitting around 59 degrees.

Speaking of football, the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Jacksonville Jaguars at 4:05 p.m. and you can watch the game on CBS Philadelphia. Grab an extra blanket for tonight! Clear skies will allow temperatures to tumble to the 30s around the area with Philadelphia hovering on either side of 40 degrees.

Winds coming in from the north are creating the wind chill and bringing in a cooler and drier air mass to our region. But don't get too comfortable because this is a short-lived cool-down before temperatures start to rise again.

Rarely do we see temperatures that climb from 50s to 60s to 70s to 80s over 4 days but that is what we are expecting this week.

CBS Philadelphia

Monday will start out chilly but temperatures will rebound to the upper 60s with partly cloudy skies. By Election Day on Tuesday, temperatures jump back into the upper 70s with partly sunny skies. Tuesday will challenge our record high of 80 degrees.

Wednesday will be the warmest day of the week. Our forecast is 80 degrees, nearly 20 degrees above average and the record is 79 in 1948.

Another weak front crosses the region on Thursday with spotty showers possible south of the city. Just like the past four fronts, it will likely fizzle out and leave us dry. By Friday, temperatures drop to the 60s under mostly sunny skies.

The NEXT Weather Team is watching a more organized system next Sunday to Monday that has a better chance of bringing us some showers. Stay tuned for updates.
