Sunny and warm in Philadelphia Sunday, but cooler air makes a comeback this week. Here's the full forecast.
Today has started with clouds to the north and sunshine to the south as a warm front lurks along the Pennsylvania-New York border. If you're headed down to Lincoln Financial Field to see the Eagles take on the Browns, the weather could not cooperate better.
Tailgating temps will be in the 60s to low 70s before the game, with kickoff at 1 p.m. around 76 degrees. A light breeze will kick up in the afternoon, with a few gusts over 15 mph.
If it's fall foliage you want to see then take a short drive to the Poconos and parts of the Lehigh Valley where leaf colors are reaching moderate to high color.
Tonight is our next cold front, but don't expect much in the way of rain. Sure, a few drops may fall here and there, but the better chance for anything significant will be north, closer to the New York border. The big story with this cold front, is the much cooler weather headed our way next week behind it.
Monday's temperatures go nowhere. Despite sunshine, we'll stay in the low to mid 60s all morning and we'll start to really feel it Monday evening, as the temperatures drop into the 40s. Highs will struggle to reach the mid and upper-50s by Tuesday and Wednesday, the coldest days of fall so far.
Our average high this time of the year is in the upper 60s but the entire week ahead will be cooler than average.
This will also be a very dry and sunny week with a mix of sun and clouds Monday, turning sunny mostly Monday afternoon through Friday.
Those conditions will not help what is quickly coming a moderate and even severe drought for parts of the area, especially portions of Burlington and Atlantic counties.
