Over 800 Santas Surf In Florida To Raise Money For Non-Profits
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Hundreds of Santas hit the waves and went surfing for a good cause in central Florida.
Eight-hundred thirty seven surfers dressed up like Santa and packed Cocoa Beach Sunday.
The event supported The California Surf Museum and another local non-profit which helps people fighting cancer.
Organizers say the surfing Santas raised $35,000.
The group was also trying to break the Guinness world record for most surfers on one wave but unfortunately the waves were too small.
