Open Space In Chester County Will Remain

CHESTER SPRINGS, Pa. (CBS) - A deal has been reached that will keep 1,500 acres of Chester County land green and open.

Bryn Coed Farm -- a tract of land owned by the heirs to the Luden cough drop fortune -- is being sold to the Natural Lands Trust, according to president Molly Morrison:

"The Bryn Coed property will be open to the public, the preserve and there will be eight miles of trails, so it will not only be a beautiful landscape, but it will be a landscape that people can actually run on, walk on, bird watch, enjoy nature and actually get to enjoy."

The property spans three municipalities in northern Chester County.

The deal will be finalized early next year. The price is not being disclosed.
