Ocean City Named Best Beach In New Jersey

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A lot of people in our region will be hitting the shore to celebrate the 4th of July weekend.
Now, one of the shore towns has bragging rights over the others.
Ocean City was just named as the best beach in the state of New Jersey.
The distinction came from a poll conducted by the New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium and this isn't a rare feat for the shore town. This is the third straight year that Ocean City has wound up on top.
Wildwood Crest came in second.
