North Philadelphia Home Invasion Suspects Reportedly Hit Elderly Resident With Lead Pipe

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating a home invasion that happened around noon on Thursday in North Philadelphia.

According to police, three young Hispanic males forced their way into the home of a 72-year-old man on the 3000 block of Mascher Street.

The suspects were armed with a gun and a lead pipe, and one of the suspects struck the victim on the head with the pipe.

All three suspects fled in an unknown direction.

The victim was transported to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

Police say the gun was recovered at the scene. It's unclear if anything was taken from the home.
