New Penn State Logo Getting Some Criticism
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (CBS) - Penn State University's new logo is creating controversy.
The school spent $128,000 to give the famous Nittany Lion a makeover. The font was also changed.
Penn State says the new logo is more friendly as far as web, social media and video applications.
Some students and alumni, however, are not happy about the change. Over 1,000 people have signed a petition asking the school to redesign the logo.
So far the school has not responded to that petition.
