PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- There will soon be a local book club for mentally challenged older teens and adults.
Beginning next month, the Camden County Library will start a book club for up to eight people with mental and developmental disabilities. The group will meet once a week to read and discuss different books.
Rosemary Scalese, the head of adult services explains there's a need.
"I actually had gotten requests from some parents who had contacted me asking about program for special needs adults and whether or not the library offered anything, and at the time we didn't.
The first session will be Thursday, September 18th at 7 p.m. and the first book will be A Dog's Life by Ann Martin.
