Man Stopped By Police In South Philadelphia Questioned At Special Victims Unit
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Philadelphia Police say they responded to a block in South Philadelphia for reports of a suspicious person just after 4am on Wednesday.
Police say they received a call that a person tried to open a locked door. Police say the caller then heard a loud noise, and alerted the authorities.
Police officers stopped a man in the area a short time later. That person was taken to the Special Victims Unit for questioning. Police have since released him without charges.
That area in South Philadelphia has been on edge since a woman was attacked in a home invasion on the 1800 block of Rosewood Avenue just after 5am on Monday morning.
