Man Stabbed During Fight Outside Bar In North Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A man was critically wounded after he was stabbed outside of a bar overnight in North Philadelphia.
It happened around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 2600 block of Thompson Street in the Olde Richmond section of the city.
Police say a two friends were playing pool at Sam and Ruthie's Bar when a they got into a verbal argument with two other men inside. Authorities say the argument eventually spilled outside and escalated into a physical fight, and that's when a 30-year-old man was stabbed under his arm.
The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.
His alleged attacker fled the scene.
Investigators were questioning several witnesses and checking surveillance cameras in the area that may have recorded the fight.
