Man Charged With Repeatedly Stabbing Ex-Girlfriend Inside Subway Restaurant In NJ

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) -- A man has been charged with attempting to murder his ex-girlfriend inside a Subway restaurant in New Jersey.
Yoon S. Choi, 48, of Silver Spring, Md., is charged with first-degree attempted murder, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
The incident happened at about 1 p.m. on December 9th of last year at the Subway restaurant on Sunnybrae Boulevard in Hamilton Township.
According to investigators, Choi repeatedly stabbed the woman in the neck while in the restaurant.
The victim, a 44-year-old from Connecticut, suffered extensive blood loss, nerve damage and was forced to undergo multiple surgeries to repair her esophagus.
Choi is being held at the Mercer County Correction Center in lieu of $750,000 bail.
