Philadelphia Man Charged With Murdering His Brother In Elkins Park
NORRISTOWN, PA (CBS) -- Officials say that man who was recently released on bail is now back in custody for the murder of his own brother in Elkins Park.
Montgomery County Officials announced Saturday the arrest of Jamison Bachman, 60, of Philadelphia, for the murder of his brother, 64-year-old Harry Bachman, in a home along the 400 block of North Sterling Road in Elkins Park.
Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Cheltenham Police Chief John Frye said in an affidavit that Jamison Bachman is facing multiple charges including First-Degree Murder and Third-Degree Murder.
That affidavit would go on to say that Caroline Bachman, Harry Bachman's wife, told police that her husband had recently post bail for her brother-in-law Jamison. She said that following Jamison's release he would ask to stay with the couple at their Elkin's Park home, but that they declined Jamison's request "due to his past history of violence and arrests."
Caroline told police that on the Friday evening, November 3, she received a text from her husband which would read "you know who just showed up,"
indicating that Jamison was at the house.

Moments later, she received another text saying that Harry was leaving their home to meet his wife, in Albany, New York, where she claims she was located during the incident.
On Saturday November 4, Cheltenham Township Police say they responded to a call at about 5 a.m. from Caroline that her husband failed to arrive at her location from their home in Elkins Park.
Township officers arrived at the Bachman residence where they would proceeded checked the exterior of the residence and determined the home was secure. Officer's did note at that time that the Bachman's red 2013 Ford Escape was missing.
Hours later, approximately 12 p.m., police were called again to the Elkins Park home to check on the well-being of Harry Bachman. The Bachman's daughter would meet officers to allow them to inspect the family's home.
Officers say when they entered the home they found a blood trail and what appeared to be "drag marks" along the floor of the home.
Cheltenham Township Police say they would then secure the home as a crime scene.
During crime scene processing, detective say they found evidence that had shown an attack and struggled occurred in the dinning room, a fresh hole in the drywall, and a shattered serving plate.

Investigators say a large quantity of blood was found in the dining room with bloody drag marks leading toward the basement door.
Officer's would then remove a box which was blocking the basement door entrance and found a deceased male on the basement stairway.
That male would later be determined to be Harry Bachman, via the Montgomery County Deputy Coroner Joseph Staniszewskl.
Detectives say a pile of bloody clothing was located in the kitchen, suggesting that the suspect changed his clothing following the attack.
Harry's Bachman iPhone 7 would also be discovered in the home that relieved a charged had been made on Friday, November 4th to the "Fairfield Inn and Suites, in Philadelphia, Wil."
Detectives located a red Ford Escape registered to Caroline Bachman in the parking lot of the Fairfield Inn Hotel.
There, Montgomery County SWAT arrested Jamison Bachman, in a hotel room listed under Harry Bachman's name.
