Last Minute Shoppers Pack Center City's Reading Terminal Market

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Counting down the hours now until Christmas, and people were out this morning to pick up last-minute groceries and goods for the holiday.

The Reading Terminal Market in Center City was abuzz.

Shoppers picked up baked goods, cheeses, meat and anything else they needed for Christmas.

On the other side of the market, Patricia waited in line at Martin's Meats.

"Pork sausage for breakfast, and I have a rib roast at home I got from here also," she told KYW Newsradio.

And Bill works as one of the butchers.

"We keep busy, like people who are out shopping for everything else.  We are here knocking out everything for the people who need everything," Bill said.

But he says, the busier, the better.

"It's Christmas for us, too."
