Officials Distribute #OpenInPHL Kits To Businesses Across Philadelphia Ahead Of Papal Visit

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Pope Francis will be arriving in Philadelphia in less than a month.

City officials are focused on energizing and exciting those who work and live in the city.

On Monday, the World Meeting of Families and the City of Philadelphia kicked-off the distribution of #OpenInPHL kits to local businesses as a part of its recently announced "I'll Be There" awareness campaign.

Mayor Michael Nutter and others delivered the kits to businesses that will be open that weekend. One of their stops was a Wawa store on 17th Street.

The kit contains signs, buttons, and other items. Officials say they are designed to help businesses plan for the event and to provide information they can use to encourage residents and customers to fully experience the papal visit.
