PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Skydiving is often at the top of those popular "bucket lists." KYW's Jay Lloyd stopped at a local skydiving school with a simple question.
Having worn a parachute many times in my youth while never pulling a rip chord, I always wondered why anyone would jump out of a perfectly good airplane.
"The thrill is very high," said Ayala Ramos, an instructor with Skydive Collegeville. "You enjoy the freedom that you have when you're skydiving."
Ramos has been jumping for 15 years and is totally hooked on the feeling. But what is that initial reaction to leaving the hatch of a plane at 10,000 feet for first time jumpers like Vishal Swami and Konstanin Yevlantev?
"There is no time for reaction at all," Swaimi said. "It's an awesome experience."
"I was not scared," Yevlantev explained, "but I could feel the adrenaline rushing through my veins."
Their first jump was strapped to an instructor. The landing was at Perkiomen Valley Airport.
