Gas Price Rise Slows In New Jersey, Around Nation
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Gas prices have again increased in New Jersey and around the nation but at a slower rate than in the last few weeks. AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in New Jersey on Friday was $2.54, up two cents from a week ago.
Drivers were paying an average of $2.61 a gallon a year ago at this time.
The national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $2.39, also up two cents from last week. Drivers were paying an average of $2.54 a gallon a year ago at this time.
Analysts say continued higher crude oil prices could also mean continued higher prices at the pump for motorists who usually see a drop during the winter months.
