Firefighters Battle 3-Alarm Warehouse Fire In Harrisburg
HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Firefighters are battling a three-alarm warehouse blaze in Harrisburg.
The fire broke out around 5 p.m. Monday. Several fire companies were called to the scene.
The fire chief in Harrisburg said the warehouse building has partially collapsed. He believes the fire to be suspicious and says it appears that several explosions stemmed from a gas line eruption.
Nearby businesses and vehicles were damaged by the flames and intense heat. Local businesses around the scene of the fire include a furniture business, a Mexican restaurant and a strip club. The location is also near a busy city intersection.
There are no reported injuries. Nearby roads were closed because of the heavy smoke from the blaze.
