Driver Killed, Another Trapped In Levittown Accident
LEVITTOWN, Pa. (CBS) - Authorities say a woman was killed and another driver was injured after a serious accident late Thursday night in Levittown, Bucks County.
This happened around 11:45 p.m. on Route 13 northbound at Tyburn Road.
According to authorities, the female driver was killed on impact.
The other driver involved was trapped in his vehicle for about 40 minutes before fire officials were able to rescue him. He was then taken to St. Mary's Trauma Center. His condition is unknown at this time.
Authorities say a third vehicle ran into the accident after it happened, but that driver was not injured.
Route 13 in both directions between Tyburn Road and Penn Valley Road will be closed until further notice.
An investigation is ongoing.
