PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a series of burglaries at a luxury condominium development at the north end of Penn's Landing, along the Delaware River.

Police are withholding comment so far, but a source close to the investigation says apartments in Waterfront Square, just south of the Sugarhouse casino, have been hit at least four times by burglars since August.  The most recent break-in happened just before Christmas.

The victims, according to the source, were all Asian.  In each case the burglar stole a safe containing all sorts of valuables, including tens of thousands of dollars in cash, jewels, Rolex watches, and fine jewelry.

Video surveillance cameras have come up empty, and there were no signs of forced entry, leading investigators to believe the robberies were all inside jobs committed by two people.

In addition to the police invesgation, the board at Waterfront Square has hired a private investigator.   At least three  members of the Philadealphia Eagles and a well-known boxer own condos at Waterfront.
