Couples Say 'I Do' At Senior Living Community's Vow Renewal Ceremony
CHERRY HILL, N.J., (CBS) -- Just in time for Valentine's Day, senior couples said "I do," once again to the one they loved.
At the Spring Hills Assisted Living Community on Friday, eight couples renewed their vows of love to one another. They celebrated their enduring love at the Cherry Hill facility.
The ceremony was officiated by Cherry Hill's mayor, Chuck Cahn.
"It's about all of them to be able to recognize all the years that they've spent together. It's very very special," Cahn said.
"It's sort of romantic. It sort of gives you another commitment." said one of the individuals that took part in the ceremony, Robert Maro. He's been married to his wife for 62 years and feels just as strongly about their love now, as when they first got married.
"It's still the same after 62 years," Maro said.
The Maro's said the key to a long and happy marriage is simple: never forget to smile.
