Corbett Heads Into Last 2 Campaign Months With $5M
HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Gov. Tom Corbett's campaign tells The Associated Press that the Republican is heading into the final two months of his re-election bid with almost $5 million in cash.
Corbett's campaign told the AP that it raised just over $8 million in the latest three-month reporting period and spent the same amount.
Campaign finance reports are due to the state elections bureau Tuesday for the June 10-Sept. 15 period.
Democrat Tom Wolf's campaign hasn't disclosed its latest figures. Corbett's 2013-14 total is nearly $25 million raised and nearly $20 million spent. Through June 9, Wolf reported raising $18 million and spending nearly $15 million, much of it his own money.
The campaign is on track to cost more than $60 million, including spending by the three candidates Wolf beat in May's four-way Democratic Party primary election.
