Cops: Suspect Threatens Worker With 2 x 4 Before Stealing Cash

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police say a suspect threatened a worker with a 2 x 4 then stole an unknown amount of money from the cash register at a store in Philadelphia.

Authorities say the suspect entered the Lee's Food Cart in West Kensington and demanded money from an employee.

Police say the man then went behind the counter, still holding the 2 x 4, and took an unknown amount of cash.

The suspect then fled the scene on foot and was last seen north on Front Street, police say.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 30-years-old, with a goatee and medium build. He was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, white
sneakers and silver watch.
