Cops: Males In Possession Of Stolen Phone Unknowingly Upload Pics To Victim's Cloud

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (CBS) -- Police release photos of two men, who are not models, but instead of posing for head shots, they should be getting ready to take mug shots.
"The dummies starting taking pictures of one another," Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said. "Started getting all these pictures that were apparently taken with the stolen cell phone."
The two men are accused of stealing a pizza delivery's man car.
It happened at the Park Lane East apartments early Monday morning.
He left his car running and, went inside the building.
When the driver came out, his car was gone and so was $500 and his cellphone.
The car was found only a few blocks away, but the money and phone were missing.
"He then runs down a couple, three blocks, and sees an Upper Darby police officer."
The cell phone's tracking device was turned off, but not its photo stream.
The next day the victim noticed new pictures uploaded in his cloud account.
"The frightening thing about it was the two individuals were showing off a sawed-off shotgun..."which is a nasty nasty weapon and what else have they done." Chitwood said. "Once you see the pictures the crime is now exacerbated."
Police released the photos on their social media accounts and have already been getting tips.
Chitwood says it is important to get these two off the streets along with their gun.
"More and more robberies being committed by individuals with in their possession a sawed off shotgun - so this takes a whole different realm."
Police want to identify the two as soon as possible to see if they are linked to any other crimes.
"The important of getting these guys are high on the radar screen," Chitwood explained. "There is no doubt in my mind that these guys are responsible for the theft of the car, for the theft of the phone, and the theft of the money. We are trying to get these guys identified, get the shotgun off the streets and find out what else they've been involved in."
If you have any information about these two men, you're being asked to contact Upper Darby Police.
