College GameDay Coming To Philly For Notre Dame Vs. Temple

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's been anticipated for days, and now it's finally officially.

On Monday afternoon, ESPN's College Gameday finally announced their decision to broadcast live from Philadelphia, PA. The last time GameDay was here was 2002 for Penn-Harvard at Franklin Field.

Temple's 24-14 win over East Carolina last Thursday night, set up a top-25 matchup at Lincoln Financial Field on Halloween night between the 7-0 Owls and the 6-1 Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Temple is ranked No. 21 in the AP poll and No. 22 in the coaches poll.

The game has already been announced as a sell-out.

The exact site in Philadelphia for College Gameday is set for Independence Hall, according to the ESPN senior director of public relations.
