Who Won Democratic Presidential Debate On Social Media?

LAS VEGAS (CBS) — Two front-runners of the Democratic Party dominated the debate on TV and online.

While both candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders claim victory at last nights debate, Bernie Sanders dominated most of the conversation on Facebook and the most talked about moment on Twitter.

On Twitter, Hillary Clinton was the most mentioned candidate from either party during the debate.

On Facebook, Sanders was the most discussed candidate followed by Clinton, Webb, O'Malley and Chafee.

The most social moment on Facebook and Twitter belonged to Sanders when he defended Clinton from attacks over her email server.

The top issues discussed on Facebook were racial issues, the economy, government ethics and guns.

Sanders had the most retweeted tweets of the night followed by Donald Trump, who live tweeted the entire debate.

Nearly 1 million people live streamed the debate. According to Nielsen, 8.9 million people saw one or more of 2.8 million tweets sent about "CNN Democratic Debate" on CNN.
