PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- City officials joined with police officers, firefighters and emergency response workers at the 2nd Alarmers Headquarters Saturday morning to unveil a memorial emblem honoring fallen firefighters and police officers.
The emblem honoring Fire Captain Michael Goodwin Sr., Firefighter Joyce Craig, and Police officers Moses Walker Jr. and Robert Wilson III now sits prominently on the hood of the 2nd Alarmers rapid response vehicle, which offers water, fans and other forms of support at emergency scenes.
Mayor Michael Nutter thanked the families of those four heroes for giving Philadelphia people who gave everything in service to the city.
"Please take today as part of a continuing effort on our part to make sure that you know that we know who you are, more importantly we love you." said Nutter. "You'll never be forgotten."
The vehicle will be housed at the 2nd Alarmers headquarters on Roberts Avenue, and was paid for with donations from firefighters and police officers.
