Cassandra Jean Amell Joins 'Roswell, New Mexico' Cast

Philadelphia (CW Philly) — Fans of Roswell, New Mexico, we have some out-of-this-world casting news. Cassandra Jean Amell has joined the cast in a recurring role for the show's second season.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amell will portray Louise, "an alien seeking refuge in 1947 Roswell, the year of the real-life UFO incident there... Louise finds that the inhabitants of this strange, frightening new world are significantly less welcoming than she expected. Though she's a pacifist by nature, when she's separated from her kids, she has no choice but to fight to protect them at all costs."

Amell isn't a stranger to The CW. She portrayed supervillain Nora Fries on Supergirl and starred in last year's DC crossover, "Elseworlds," alongside her husband, Stephen Amell. Some of her other television credits include Hart of Dixie and One Tree Hill.

Who's looking forward to Louise's arrival in Roswell? Sound off in the comments!

Roswell, New Mexico will return for its second season in early 2020 on The CW Philly. Stay tuned for a premiere date.
