Car Slams Into Frankford Convenience Store

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are investigating what caused a car to slam into a convenience store in Philadelphia early Monday morning.

The Philadelphia Fire Department says it responded to the 5000 block of Frankford Avenue around 7:45 a.m. after a car crashed into a 7-Eleven.

Investigators say for an unknown reason, a car slammed into the front glass door of the business.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Workers with the city's Licenses and Inspections were at the scene due to reports that the building's structural integrity was compromised.

The incident remains under investigation.
