Burst Pipe Briefly Displaces Students At Drexel Dormitory
By Al Novack
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A number of students were evacuated from their dorm rooms on Drexel's campus overnight because of a burst pipe.
School officials say the pipe burst and sent water rushing toward the lobby entrance of the Race Hall dormitory at 33rd and Race at about 1:45. The students were relocated to another dorm while the mess was cleaned up. They were sent back to their rooms at about 3am.
There were no injuries and building operations are back to normal.
