Bethlehem Man Charged In Double Murder, Arson In Palmer Township, Police Say

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Bethlehem man is charged in a double murder and arson in Northampton County, authorities say. Drew Rose allegedly killed Roger Houck at his home on Stephens Street in Palmer Township during an attempted robbery in January.

Investigators say Rose returned to the home hours later, moving Houck's body to the basement, along with his bedridden mother, 97-year-old Virginia Houck, who was still alive.

He reportedly then spread accelerant and lit a fire.

Investigators say Rose needed rent money.
