Ann Coulter: 'We Don't Need To Be Bringing In The World's Poor People'
By Rich Zeoli
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Author Ann Coulter is calling for Washington to drastically alter who is allowed to immigrate to America from around the world. In her new book, Adios America: The Left's Plan to Turn Our Country Into a Third World Hellhole, Coulter writes that our current immigration policies are destroying the country.
Coulter told Rich Zeoli on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT that we should stop allowing disabled immigrants into the country.
"Why are we bringing anyone who immediately needs taxpayer help? We have our own poor. We have our own criminals. That's what welfare is for, to help our own poor people. We don't need to be bringing in the world's poor people. The Republicans are going along with this because dumping all these peasant cultures, and very welfare receiving cultures on the country creates a need. The Democrats love it. They need more government workers. You get a lot of cheap labor for big business and the Chamber of Commerce and Republicans are just doing the Republican thing, being idiots again."
She said that both political parties are conspiring to allow immigrants to enter the country for their own selfish reasons.
"American's wages are being driven down, while their taxes are going up to support these newcomers to give votes to the Democrats, and cheap labor to the Republicans. The only people against our utter dysfunctional immigration system are the American people."
With the Republican primary still in it's beginning stages to choose the party's candidate for the 2016 nomination for President, Coulter hopes Mitt Romney can be convinced to run again following his defeat in 2012 to President Obama.
"He is head-and-shoulders the best. Now, he says he isn't running, but I hope this book convinces people to say we need to recruit him...If there's a debate question or even if it comes up when he's President on things like who do you want handling the Fed? Who do you want handling trade with China and their copyright theft from us? Who do you want dealing with Russia? Romney is just so amazing and so smart and he was [Arizona Governor] Jan Brewer on immigration before Jan Brewer was Jan Brewer."
Coulter will join WPHT's Chris Stigall on Monday, June 15 at the Colonial Theater in Phoenixville. For more information, visit cbsphilly.com/speakerseries.
