All Quiet On Villanova's Campus Ahead Of March Madness, Except At The Bookstore

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, P.A., (CBS) -- Monday marked the last day of Easter break for Villanova University. Many of the buildings were closed and at first glance, you'd think it's pretty quiet around here.

That was not the case. Even on break, March Madness is all anyone is talking about at Villanova.

With many students still home for Easter break, Villanova's campus was usually quiet Monday, everywhere except the bookstore.

The crowds haven't died down because with the Wildcats now triumphantly heading to the Final Four, their biggest fans have to look good and show their support.

"I need some new gear, a t-shirt maybe," said Nova fan A.J. Voci. The Final Four shirts have yet to arrive.

Store Manager Ryan Snyder said "it's been nonstop.

"This morning when we walked in, we had over 450 orders."

The Wildcats Villanova is taking on Oklahoma Saturday in Houston. It's a team they've played before back in December in Hawaii. Villanova lost by more than 20 points.

"It's a little unsettling," said Villanova freshman Jamie Silk. "We're a totally different team then we were at the beginning of the season and we've kind of found our groove and no one thought we could beat Kansas and here we are."

Villanova sophomore Kyle Sandvick is feeling calm. "I'm not too worried," he said.

"I think it'll be beneficial because they'll have some tape to look at and get a better understanding. so, yeah optimistic for sure." That Oklahoma game was in the past and fans only really care about this Oklahoma game.

"I know they lost by 25 earlier, but it's a different game, but I expect a close game. I'd say within five points either way...hopefully our way."

Hopefully, but either way, they have some huge fans in their corner.

"I have a good feeling about Nova. They just have to shut down Buddy Hield and hit some shots and they'll be good," Voci said.

Now, a lot of people are still considering traveling to Houston for the game. Travel experts estimate a round trip ticket including air fare, hotel and of course, tickets to see Nova go all the way, to be about $3,400. Still some fans here say it's worth it.
