2 Women On The Run After Violent Bank Robbery In North Hills
NORTH HILLS (CBSLA.com) — A bank hit straight out of a Hollywood movie. Except it was all too real.
Two women robbed a bank in North Hills Friday and were on the run Friday night.
Witnesses said the women were extremely violent when they walked into the Chase Bank on Sepulveda near Nordhoff.
They told everyone to get on the ground. The bank was full at the time.
They both were wearing gloves, baseball hats, t-shirts and yoga pants.
One was armed with a gun. The other had a bag to throw the cash in -- a bag with black and white stripes and a pink bottom.
The FBI says they ordered everyone inside to drop down to the floor in what's called a takeover robbery.
They took off -- and now agents are looking to see if they're linked to any other recent robberies.
"It scares us," says Chase customer Juan Rivera. "Especially because we bring our kids here as well. This has never happened here before. We've never anything like this."
LAPD is asking for the public's help. They are asking anyone with info to call the police.
