Power Outage Cancels, Delays Flights At Ontario International Airport
ONTARIO (CBS/AP) — At least eight flights were canceled or delayed because of a power outage at Ontario International Airport, which remained open Wednesday.
Power went down in Terminal 2 and Terminal 4 at about 12:15 a.m., but the facilities continued to operate, at least partially, on electricity from backup generators, airport spokesman Maria Tesoro said.
The cause of the outage was not immediately determined, she said.
Brian Parrish of Southwest Airlines says the airline has canceled eight flights so far -- four in and four out.
At least seven outgoing flights on various airlines were delayed for about an hour, airport police spokesman Robert Pedregon said.
Passengers tweeted their unhappiness arriving to a dark airport.

Some lights were seen outside, but passengers inside said power was out for the entire airport.
Some passengers reported that they were told they can wait for power to be restored, or to make their way to Los Angeles International Airport to catch a flight at their own costs.
SoCal Edison crews are working to fix the transformer. Pedregon says the utility predicts repairs could take several hours.
