With temperatures exceeding 90 degrees in some areas, tens of thousands of residents throughout Southern California had their power shut off for planned maintenance. Tena Ezzeddine reports.
The outage is affecting an unknown amount of customers along Harbor Drive, Catalina Avenue, Pacific Coast Highway and Portofino Way.
Over 70,000 Southern California residents have been impacted by a series of power outages due to the high-powered winds ripping through the region.

More than 75,000 Southern California Edison customers lost power during Thanksgiving Day, many of whom are still without power several hours after the outage. Some have had their power shut off for nearly 24 hours.

Two outages were reported in the Costa Mesa and Newport Beach areas just before 1:30 a.m., according to Gabriela Ornelas of SoCal Edison.
