LAPD Raids Alleged Illegal Gambling Operation In North Hills
NORTH HILLS (CBSLA) — The Los Angeles Police Department raided an alleged illegal gambling operation in North Hills Thursday night.
At least 12 people were detained, officials said.
The raid was conducted at about 8:30 p.m. at a home in the 16000 block of Napa Street where at least 12 people were detained and an unspecified number of other people reportedly ran from the scene.
Police also said that the gathering was held in violation of the county's public health order with people packed into the home and not wearing face coverings.
There was also alleged drug and alcohol use.
